Argos JavaScript: CI Branch Name OS Command Injection in @argos-ci/core
Argos JavaScript provides official Argos SDKs for JavaScript. Prior to Argos core package version 6.2.1, attacker-controlled CI branch or ref values from GITHUB_HEAD_REF or ARGOS_BRANCH can flow through config.branch and getMergeBaseCommitSha() when hasRemoteContentAccess is false. The gitFetch() and gitMergeBase() functions in packages/core/src/ci-environment/git.ts interpolate these values into execSync() command strings executed by /bin/sh -c, so shell metacharacters in a pull-request branch name can execute arbitrary commands with the Argos upload process privileges on the CI runner. Successful exploitation can expose CI secrets, alter bu
hashi-vault-js: Vault token and secret values exposed in thrown errors
hashi-vault-js is a Node.js module for interacting with the HashiCorp Vault API. Prior to 0.5.2, every API method in src/Vault.js passes failed requests through parseAxiosError(), which rethrows the raw AxiosError while retaining AxiosError.config and the equivalent response configuration. These objects can contain the X-Vault-Token request header and err.config.data request body, including submitted passwords or secret values. When a consuming application records the caught exception through console logging, structured loggers, monitoring, crash reporting, or an application performance monitoring service, the live Vault token and request sec
gettext-converter: Prototype pollution in js2i18next() via crafted translation keys
gettext-converter provides gettext resource conversion utilities for JavaScript. Prior to 1.3.3, js2i18next() in lib/js2i18next.js splits nested translation keys using options.keyseparator, whose default value consists of two number signs, and uses each segment as a dynamic object key without rejecting __proto__, constructor, or prototype. When an application converts untrusted PO or i18next translation data, a __proto__ segment resolves Object.prototype as the nested write target and Object.assign writes attacker-controlled translated properties onto the process-wide prototype. The resulting prototype pollution can cause denial of service an
ExifReader HEIC/AVIF ISO-BMFF parser throws uncaught RangeError on truncated boxes
ExifReader is a JavaScript Exif information parser. Prior to 4.40.1, ExifReader.load() and the asynchronous file and URL loaders can pass attacker-supplied HEIC or AVIF data to the ISO-BMFF parser in src/image-header-iso-bmff.js, where findMetaBox() and parseBox() accept an eight-byte box header without confirming that fields required by the parsed box remain in the DataView. A valid ftyp box followed by an empty free or unknown box can cause an unchecked full-box version read, while a truncated extended-size box can make getBoxLength() and hasEmptyHighBits() read absent size fields. The resulting RangeError escapes the main parsing path and
node-opcua: Unbounded nonce cache enables unauthenticated heap exhaustion DoS
node-opcua is an OPC UA implementation for TypeScript and Node.js. Prior to 2.166.0, the process-global g_alreadyUsedNonce cache used by nonceAlreadyBeenUsed in packages/node-opcua-secure-channel/source/server/server_secure_channel_layer.ts records nonces from OpenSecureChannelRequest and CreateSession without expiration or a size limit. An unauthenticated remote attacker can repeatedly create sessions with unique nonces, causing entries to persist after session expiry and accumulate across connection cycles even when maxSessions=10 limits concurrent sessions. The resulting unbounded heap growth can exhaust the default Node.js heap and crash

node-opcua: Missing nonce verification in UserNameIdentityToken authentication
node-opcua is an OPC UA implementation for TypeScript and Node.js. Prior to 2.166.0, the UserNameIdentityToken authentication handler in packages/node-opcua-server/source/opcua_server.ts decrypts an RSA-OAEP password blob but does not verify that the trailing bytes match the current session serverNonce. An unauthenticated remote attacker can obtain the server public key through GetEndpoints and forge a blob whose little-endian length produces an empty password passed to isValidUser, compromising accounts that accept an empty password. Missing nonce binding also allows a captured UserNameIdentityToken ciphertext to be replayed in another sessi
Yayson: Prototype pollution in the Store/LegacyStore deserialization
Yayson is a library for serializing and reading JSON API data in JavaScript. Prior to 4.3.0, Store and LegacyStore use attacker-controlled JSON:API type, id, and relationship names as keys in plain-object lookup tables in src/yayson/store.ts and src/yayson/legacy-store.ts. A document whose type is __proto__ causes model-cache writes to modify Object.prototype, with the attacker controlling the polluted property name through id and its value through attributes. The malicious type can also be supplied by an included resource, and LegacyStore is reachable when a configured types mapping resolves to __proto__. Unsafe relationship names including
multer vulnerable to Denial of Service via orphaned disk writes on aborted uploads
multer is a Node.js middleware for handling multipart/form-data uploads. In versions 2.2.0 through 2.3.0, when a request using disk storage is aborted mid-upload, file writes that complete after multer has already run its abort cleanup are not removed, so each aborted upload can leave an orphaned file on disk. A remote unauthenticated attacker can repeatedly start and abort uploads to accumulate orphaned files and exhaust disk space, causing a denial of service. The issue is fixed in multer 2.4.0, and users should upgrade to 2.4.0 or later.

Nodemailer 9.1.0 through 10.0.4 Denial of Service via Quadratic Address Parsing
Nodemailer versions 9.1.0 through 10.0.4 contain a quadratic time complexity vulnerability in the addressparser component when parsing email addresses with RFC 5322 comments. Attackers can craft malicious email headers with comment-separated atoms to consume excessive CPU and block the Node.js event loop for several seconds, causing denial of service.
joi before 17.13.8 and 18.2.9 Prototype Pollution via messages
joi before versions 17.13.8 and 18.2.9 contains a prototype pollution vulnerability in the messages compilation function that accepts __proto__ as an error code. Attackers can supply __proto__ keys in custom messages to replace the returned object's prototype, breaking downstream code relying on Object.prototype methods.
compression vulnerable to Denial of Service via memory leak on premature response close
compression is a Node.js and Express compression middleware. In versions before 1.8.2, when a client aborts the connection while a compressed response is still being sent, the zlib stream created to compress that response is never destroyed, so each aborted compressed response leaks its native zlib memory. A remote unauthenticated attacker can repeatedly open requests and disconnect early, exhausting the available memory and crashing the server. All applications using compression are affected. The issue is fixed in compression 1.8.2, and users should upgrade to 1.8.2 or later.
morgan vulnerable to Log Injection via unescaped double quote in quoted log fields
morgan is an HTTP request logger middleware for Node.js. In versions before 1.12.1, its escapeLogField() function does not escape the double quote character, which delimits the quoted fields of the Apache combined log format that morgan emits. An unauthenticated remote attacker who controls a value written to a quoted field, such as the User-Agent or Referer header, can include a double quote to close that field early, so a log consumer that parses the log by field position reads attacker-supplied text as the following field. In the built-in formats this makes the recorded value differ from the value that was sent, and in custom formats that
OmniRoute is an open-source AI gateway providing a single endpoint for multiple model providers. In 3.8.49 and earlier, the OmniRoute POST /api/acp/agents custom ACP agent endpoint accepted attacker-controlled binary and versionCommand values and used only a self-consistency check before execFileSync executed the selected interpreter and arguments. The same request called refreshAgentCache, and resolveVersionProbe accepted the matched command before the execFileSync sink ran it. The tokenizeVersionCommand function and DISALLOWED_VERSION_COMMAND_CHARS filter rejected a limited set of shell metacharacters but still allowed interpreter evaluatio
Angular: SSR XSS via Unescaped <template> Content Across DocumentFragment Boundaries in Fallback Raw-Content Elements
Angular is a development platform for building mobile and desktop web applications using TypeScript/JavaScript and other languages. Prior to 20.3.30, 21.2.22, and 22.1.4, Angular server-side rendering (SSR) in @angular/platform-server serializes untrusted input inside template content nested in fallback raw-content elements such as noscript, iframe, noembed, and noframes. The Domino serializer's fallbackRawContentTags traversal stopped at the DocumentFragment used by template.content, so matching closing tags in xmp, style, script, comments, or text nodes were not escaped. Standard interpolation with comments or text nodes is reachable withou
Angular: Information Leak via `HttpTransferCache` Bypass When Using `withRequestsMadeViaParent`
Angular is a development platform for building mobile and desktop web applications using TypeScript/JavaScript and other languages. Prior to 20.3.28, 21.2.20, and 22.1.1, Angular's @angular/common HttpTransferCache can cache an authenticated response when Server-Side Rendering (SSR) and hydration use a hierarchical HttpClient configured with withRequestsMadeViaParent. The child TransferCache evaluates an initially anonymous request before delegation, then a parent withInterceptors chain adds an Authorization header, cookie, or API token; although the parent cache skips the authenticated request, the child still stores the private response in
Angular: SSR XSS via Unescaped Processing Instruction (<?...?>) Nodes in Fallback Raw-Content Elements
Angular is a development platform for building mobile and desktop web applications using TypeScript/JavaScript and other languages. Prior to 20.3.30, 21.2.22, and 22.1.4, Angular server-side rendering (SSR) in @angular/platform-server serializes ProcessingInstruction DOM nodes inside fallback raw-content elements without escaping matching ancestor closing tags. ProcessingInstruction data escaped greater-than characters but left less-than characters untouched and did not inspect fallback ancestors, so data such as a matching closing tag prematurely terminates noscript, iframe, noembed, or noframes containers. The vulnerable nodes cannot be aut
Angular: Sanitization bypass via directive host bindings on concrete host elements in @angular/core and @angular/compiler
Angular is a development platform for building mobile and desktop web applications using TypeScript/JavaScript and other languages. Prior to 20.3.28, 21.2.20, and 22.1.0, Angular's compiler and runtime in @angular/core and @angular/compiler could omit or select an incorrect sanitizer for security-sensitive directive host bindings because SecurityContext was derived from the declaring directive or component selector rather than the concrete host element. The mismatch is reachable through hostDirectives composition, inherited HostBinding declarations, createComponent with a custom hostElement or dynamic directives, SVG/MathML namespace elements
Angular: SSRF and Cross-Origin Credential Disclosure via URL Resolution Discrepancy in SSR
Angular is a development platform for building mobile and desktop web applications using TypeScript/JavaScript and other languages. Prior to 20.3.30, 21.2.22, and 22.1.4, Angular Server-Side Rendering in @angular/platform-server processes user-controlled resource or request URLs through HttpClient after application code validates them with WHATWG URL parsing. The resolveUrl and parseUrl utilities called String.prototype.trim(), which removed leading Unicode whitespace such as U+00A0 or U+FEFF after the input passed a same-origin check, converting a relative path into a protocol-relative attacker-controlled URL. In affected applications that a
@eigenpal/docx-editor-react: CSS injection and print-time XSS via unescaped embedded font-family name
## Summary
Embedded font-family names (`word/fontTable.xml`) were interpolated unescaped into an injected `@font-face` `<style>` and into the print window's `document.write()`. A crafted name injects page-wide CSS on open, and breaks out of `<style>`
into executable HTML on Print.
## Impact
Opening a crafted `.docx` applies attacker-controlled CSS page-wide with zero clicks (overlay/phishing, attribute-selector exfiltration of input values, tracking beacons). Clicking Print escalates to script execution in the embedder's origin.
## Remediation
Upgrade to 1.8.3. Font names are CSS-escaped before interpolation (quotes, backslash, `< >`, and
OpenAPI3 version value escapes `emitterOutputDir` and overwrites YAML/JSON outside the output tree
### Summary
The `@typespec/openapi3` emitter retains the value of a `@versioned` enum member and interpolates it into the output filename as `{version}` without sanitizing path separators or traversal components. The completed path reaches the compiler's `emitFile()`, which creates the parent directory and writes the file without verifying containment under `emitterOutputDir`.
A crafted declarative `.tsp` input can therefore create or overwrite an OpenAPI-formatted `.yaml` or `.json` file outside the configured output tree, subject to the compiler process's filesystem permissions. No executable TypeSpec extension or attacker-controlled Java
