D-Tale affected by Remote Code Execution through the /save-column-filter endpoint
D-Tale is a visualizer for pandas data structures. Versions prior to 3.20.0 are vulnerable to Remote Code Execution through the /save-column-filter endpoint. Users hosting D-Tale publicly can be vulnerable to remote code execution allowing attackers to run malicious code on the server. This issue has been fixed in version 3.20.0.
Apache Airflow: Disclosure of secrets to UI via kwargs
When a DAG failed during parsing, Airflow’s error-reporting in the UI could include the full kwargs passed to the operators. If those kwargs contained sensitive values (such as secrets), they might be exposed in the UI tracebacks to authenticated users who had permission to view that DAG.
The issue has been fixed in Airflow 3.1.4 and 2.11.1, and users are strongly advised to upgrade to prevent potential disclosure of sensitive information.
MLflow Use of Default Password Authentication Bypass Vulnerability
MLflow Use of Default Password Authentication Bypass Vulnerability. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to bypass authentication on affected installations of MLflow. Authentication is not required to exploit this vulnerability.
The specific flaw exists within the basic_auth.ini file. The file contains hard-coded default credentials. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to bypass authentication and execute arbitrary code in the context of the administrator. Was ZDI-CAN-28256.
MLflow Tracking Server Artifact Handler Directory Traversal Remote Code Execution Vulnerability. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of MLflow Tracking Server. Authentication is not required to exploit this vulnerability.
The specific flaw exists within the handling of artifact file paths. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of a user-supplied path prior to using it in file operations. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of the service account. Was ZDI-CAN-26649.
pypdf possibly has long runtimes for malformed FlateDecode streams
pypdf is a free and open-source pure-python PDF library. Prior to 6.7.1, an attacker who uses this vulnerability can craft a PDF which leads to long runtimes. This requires a malformed /FlateDecode stream, where the byte-by-byte decompression is used. This vulnerability is fixed in 6.7.1.
pypdf has possible long runtimes/large memory usage for large /ToUnicode streams
pypdf is a free and open-source pure-python PDF library. Prior to 6.7.1, an attacker who uses this vulnerability can craft a PDF which leads to long runtimes and large memory consumption. This requires parsing the /ToUnicode entry of a font with unusually large values, for example during text extraction. This vulnerability is fixed in 6.7.1.
pypdf has a possible infinite loop when processing TreeObject
pypdf is a free and open-source pure-python PDF library. Prior to 6.7.1, an attacker who uses this vulnerability can craft a PDF which leads to an infinite loop. This requires accessing the children of a TreeObject, for example as part of outlines. This vulnerability is fixed in 6.7.1.
Bucket Squatting in Vertex AI Experiments leads to RCE and Model Theft.
Predictable bucket naming in Vertex AI Experiments in Google Cloud Vertex AI from version 1.21.0 up to (but not including) 1.133.0 on Google Cloud Platform allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to achieve cross-tenant remote code execution, model theft, and poisoning via pre-creating predictably named Cloud Storage buckets (Bucket Squatting).
This vulnerability was patched and no customer action is needed.
Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) in Vertex AI Python SDK Visualization
Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) in the _genai/_evals_visualization component of Google Cloud Vertex AI SDK (google-cloud-aiplatform) versions from 1.98.0 up to (but not including) 1.131.0 allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to execute arbitrary JavaScript in a victim's Jupyter or Colab environment via injecting script escape sequences into model evaluation results or dataset JSON data.
Fickling has a detection bypass via stdlib network-protocol constructors
# Our assessment
`imtplib`, `imaplib`, `ftplib`, `poplib`, `telnetlib`, and `nntplib` were added to the list of unsafe imports (https://github.com/trailofbits/fickling/commit/6d20564d23acf14b42ec883908aed159be7b9ade). The `UnusedVariables` heuristic works as expected.
# Original report
## Summary
Fickling's `check_safety()` API and `--check-safety` CLI flag incorrectly rate as
`LIKELY_SAFE` pickle files that open outbound TCP connections at deserialization time
using stdlib network-protocol constructors: `smtplib.SMTP`, `imaplib.IMAP4`,
`ftplib.FTP`, `poplib.POP3`, `telnetlib.Telnet`, and `nntplib.NNTP`.
The bypass exploits two independ
Open WebUI vulnerable to Stored XSS via iFrame embeds in response messages
Open WebUI is a self-hosted artificial intelligence platform designed to operate entirely offline. Prior to version 0.6.44, aanually modifying chat history allows setting the `embeds` property on a response message, the content of which is loaded into an iFrame with a sandbox that has `allow-scripts` and `allow-same-origin` set, ignoring the "iframe Sandbox Allow Same Origin" configuration. This enables stored XSS on the affected chat. This also triggers when the chat is in the shared format. The result is a shareable link containing the payload that can be distributed to any other users on the instance. Version 0.6.44 fixes the issue.
Open WebUI vulnerable to Stored XSS via iFrame in citations model
Open WebUI is a self-hosted artificial intelligence platform designed to operate entirely offline. Prior to version 0.7.0, aanually modifying chat history allows setting the `html` property within document metadata. This causes the frontend to enter a code path that treats document contents as HTML, and render them in an iFrame when the citation is previewed. This allows stored XSS via a weaponized document payload in a chat. The payload also executes when the citation is viewed on a shared chat. Version 0.7.0 fixes the issue.
Skill Scanner is a security scanner for AI Agent Skills that detects prompt injection, data exfiltration, and malicious code patterns. A vulnerability in the API Server of Skill Scanner could allow a unauthenticated, remote attacker to interact with the server API and either trigger a denial of service (DoS) condition or upload arbitrary files. This vulnerability is due to an erroneous binding to multiple interfaces. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending API requests to a device exposing the affected API Server. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to consume an excessive amount of resources (memory starvation) or t
Microsoft Semantic Kernel InMemoryVectorStore filter functionality vulnerable to remote code execution
Semantic Kernel, Microsoft's semantic kernel Python SDK, has a remote code execution vulnerability in versions prior to 1.39.4, specifically within the `InMemoryVectorStore` filter functionality. The problem has been fixed in version `python-1.39.4`. Users should upgrade this version or higher. As a workaround, avoid using `InMemoryVectorStore` for production scenarios.
Indico affected by Cross-Site-Scripting via material uploads
Indico is an event management system that uses Flask-Multipass, a multi-backend authentication system for Flask. Versions prior to 3.3.10 are vulnerable to cross-site scripting when uploading certain file types as materials. Users should upgrade to version 3.3.10 to receive a patch. To apply the fix itself updating is sufficient, but to benefit from the strict Content Security Policy (CSP) Indico now applies by default for file downloads, update the webserver config in case one uses nginx with Indico's `STATIC_FILE_METHOD` set to `xaccelredirect`. For further directions, consult the GitHub Security advisory or Indico setup documentation. Some
Indico has Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) in multiple places
Indico is an event management system that uses Flask-Multipass, a multi-backend authentication system for Flask. Versions prior to 3.3.10 are vulnerable to server-side request forgery. Indico makes outgoing requests to user-provides URLs in various places. This is mostly intentional and part of Indico's functionality but is never intended to let users access "special" targets such as localhost or cloud metadata endpoints. Users should upgrade to version 3.3.10 to receive a patch. Those who do not have IPs that expose sensitive data without authentication (typically because they do not host Indico on AWS) are not affected. Only event organizer

changedetection.io vulnerable to unauthenticated static path traversal
changedetection.io is a free open source web page change detection tool. In versions prior to 0.53.2, the `/static/<group>/<filename>` route accepts `group=".."`, which causes `send_from_directory("static/..", filename)` to execute. This moves the base directory up to `/app/changedetectionio`, enabling unauthenticated local file read of application source files (e.g., `flask_app.py`). Version 0.53.2 fixes the issue.
