tuf has platform-dependent delegation path matching

`DelegatedRole._is_target_in_pathpattern` uses `fnmatch.fnmatch` to decide whether a given target path is authorized by a delegation's glob pattern. Python's `fnmatch.fnmatch` calls `os.path.normcase()` on both arguments before matching. On POSIX hosts `normcase` is the identity function; on Windows hosts `os.path` resolves to `ntpath`, whose `normcase` lowercases its input and replaces `/` with `\`. As a result, python-tuf's delegation *path pattern* matching is case-sensitive on Linux/macOS but case-INSENSITIVE on Windows. This makes the authorization decision for a target dependent on the host operating system of the client running the u

    CVE-2026-49299

In OpenStack Neutron before 28.0.1, the tagging controller enforces plural policy action names on single-tag write operations while the defined policy rules use singular names. The mismatched names evaluate as allowed under the default policy, permitting a project reader to create and update tags on same-project resources. Deployments running Neutron 26.0.0 or later are affected.

Local Deep Research: HTML Injection via Unescaped User Input in PDF Export (`pdf_service.py:_markdown_to_html`)

Local Deep Research is an AI-powered research assistant for deep, iterative research. Prior to 1.6.0, PDFService._markdown_to_html() constructs an HTML document by interpolating user-controlled values — specifically title (sourced from research.title or research.query) and metadata key-value pairs — directly into an f-string without any HTML escaping. An authenticated attacker can craft a research query containing HTML special characters to inject arbitrary HTML tags into the document processed by WeasyPrint during PDF export. This injection can be chained to trigger a Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF), bypassing the application's existing S

Local Deep Research: SSRF bypass in `safe_get`

Local Deep Research is an AI-powered research assistant for deep, iterative research. Prior to 1.6.10, the URL checking logic in local-deep-research has a logical flaw that could be bypassed by attackers, leading to SSRF attacks. The current project uses validate_url to validate the input URL. The main logic is to perform security checks on the host portion of the URL extracted by urlparse to prevent SSRF attacks. However, there are indeed differences in parsing between urlparse and the library that actually sends the request. For example, in safe_get, validate_url is first used to perform an SSRF check, and then requests.get is used to send

pyLoad: Incomplete Fix for CVE-2026-33509 -storage_folder Bypass via Session Directory

pyLoad is a free and open-source download manager written in Python. Prior to 0.5.0b3.dev100, the fix for CVE-2026-33509 prevents setting storage_folder inside PKGDIR or userdir, but does NOT protect the Flask session directory (/tmp/pyLoad/flask). An authenticated attacker can set storage_folder to the session directory and download session files of other users via /files/get/, leading to account takeover. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.5.0b3.dev100.

pyLoad: Stored XSS in Downloads view via unsanitized link URL in packages.js template literal

pyLoad is a free and open-source download manager written in Python. Prior to 0.5.0b3.dev100, the packages.js template at src/pyload/webui/app/themes/modern/templates/js/packages.js:172 interpolates a stored link URL into a template literal inside single-quoted HTML and then writes the result to the DOM via $(div).html(html). No escaping runs between the API value and innerHTML. An attacker (Alice) who can submit a package link puts a single quote plus event handler into the URL, breaks out of the attribute, and executes JavaScript in every operator's browser that opens the downloads view. pyLoad is a free and open-source download manager written in Python. Prior to 0.5.0b3.dev100, the PREREQFUNCTION-based private IP check was not applied to HTTPRequest (used by the parse_urls API). An authenticated attacker can supply a URL pointing to an attacker-controlled server that responds with a 302 redirect to an internal/private IP address, bypassing the is_global_host() check on the initial URL. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.5.0b3.dev100.

Nautobot: REST API permits creation of GenericForeignKey references to objects that the user should not be able to reference

Nautobot is a Network Source of Truth and Network Automation Platform. Prior to 2.4.33 and 3.1.2, in the case of inter-object references via GenericForeignKey (a pattern allowing an object to reference another object that may belong to one of several different "content types" or database tables), when creating or updating an object containing a GenericForeignKey, Nautobot's REST API failed to enforce user "view" permissions when determining whether a given reference to another object would be valid. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.4.33 and 3.1.2.

Nautobot: GitRepository.current_head field should not be writable through REST API

Nautobot is a Network Source of Truth and Network Automation Platform. Prior to 2.4.33 and 3.1.2, a user with access to add/change a GitRepository record could use the REST API to directly set the current_head field on the record, which was not intended to be user-editable. Doing so could cause Nautobot's local clone(s) of the relevant repository to checkout a commit other than the latest commit on the specified branch (resulting in misleading state), or potentially to be unable to make use of the repository at all (until manually remediated) due to the current_head pointing to a nonexistent commit hash or malformed value. Synapse pagination denial of service

Synapse is an open source Matrix homeserver implementation. Prior to 1.152.1, in federated rooms, malicious homeservers can craft room events in such a way that prevents Synapse from providing full history to paginating clients. Clients could therefore fail to display room history. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.152.1.

PyJWT: Unauthenticated DoS via unbounded Base64URL decoding of unused payload segment in b64=false detached JWS

PyJWT is a JSON Web Token implementation in Python. From 2.8.0 to 2.12.1, when verifying detached JWS tokens using the unencoded-payload option ("b64": false, RFC 7797), PyJWT performs Base64URL decoding of the compact-serialization payload segment before enforcing the detached-payload rules. For b64=false, PyJWT later discards that decoded payload and replaces it with the caller-provided detached_payload. In practice, this turns the middle segment into an attacker-controlled “work amplifier”: a remote client can supply an arbitrarily large Base64URL payload segment that forces CPU work + memory allocations even if the signature is invalid. PyJWT: Algorithm allow-list bypass when decoding with `PyJWK` / `PyJWKClient` keys

PyJWT is a JSON Web Token implementation in Python. From 2.9.0 to 2.12.1, there is a verifier-side algorithm allow-list bypass when jwt.decode() or jwt.decode_complete() are called with a PyJWK key. The token header alg is checked against the caller-supplied algorithms allow-list, but signature verification is performed with the algorithm bound to the PyJWK object instead of the header algorithm. An attacker who controls a registered JWK/JWKS private key can sign with a disallowed algorithm, advertise an allowed algorithm in the JWT header, and still be accepted. The issue affects the documented PyJWKClient.get_signing_key_from_jwt(...) flow.

PyJWT: Public-key JWK accepted as HMAC secret enables forged HS256 tokens when mixed families are allowed

PyJWT is a JSON Web Token implementation in Python. Prior to 2.13.0, when the verifier is decoding JSON Web Tokens, while supporting both asymmetric and HMAC algorithms, the library does not validate use of JSON Web Keys in HMAC algorithm, allowing attacker to use the issuer public key as the secret key for HMAC algorithm. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.13.0.

PyJWT: PyJWKClient unbounded JWKS endpoint requests via attacker-controlled kid values (DoS)

PyJWT is a JSON Web Token implementation in Python. Prior to 2.13.0, PyJWKClient.get_signing_key() forces a fresh HTTP request to the JWKS endpoint for every JWT with an unknown kid value, with no rate limiting. Since kid comes from the unverified token header, an attacker can trigger unlimited outbound requests. The vulnerability surfaces only when a JWKS fetch fails; an attacker can attempt to provoke that with sustained unknown-kid traffic, but the outcome depends on upstream JWKS-endpoint behavior (rate limiting, transient errors) which is beyond the attacker's control. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.13.0.

Prior to 2.13.0, PyJWKClient passes its uri argument directly to urllib.request.urlopen() which uses Python stdlib's default OpenerDirector registering HTTPHandler, HTTPSHandler, FTPHandler, FileHandler, and DataHandler. There is currently no documented option to restrict which schemes PyJWKClient will fetch. If an application's jku URL ingestion path accepts attacker-influenced URLs (e.g., from JWT header, configuration file, OAuth flow parameter), the attacker can cause PyJWKClient to read arbitrary local files via file:// (SSRF on local filesystem), cause PyJWKClient to attempt FTP / data
