In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: arm64: bpf: Only mitigate cBPF programs loaded by unprivileged users Support for eBPF programs loaded by unprivileged users is typically disabled. This means only cBPF programs need to be mitigated for BHB. In addition, only mitigate cBPF programs that were loaded by an unprivileged user. Privileged users can also load the same program via eBPF, making the mitigation pointless.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipvs: fix uninit-value for saddr in do_output_route4 syzbot reports for uninit-value for the saddr argument [1]. commit 4754957f04f5 ("ipvs: do not use random local source address for tunnels") already implies that the input value of saddr should be ignored but the code is still reading it which can prevent to connect the route. Fix it by changing the argument to ret_saddr. [1] BUG: KMSAN: uninit-value in do_output_route4+0x42c/0x4d0 net/netfilter/ipvs/ip_vs_xmit.c:147 do_output_route4+0x42c/0x4d0 net/netfilter/ipvs/ip_vs_xmit.c:147 __ip_vs_get_out_rt+0x403/0x21d0 net/ne
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: arm64: bpf: Add BHB mitigation to the epilogue for cBPF programs A malicious BPF program may manipulate the branch history to influence what the hardware speculates will happen next. On exit from a BPF program, emit the BHB mititgation sequence. This is only applied for 'classic' cBPF programs that are loaded by seccomp.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: objtool, media: dib8000: Prevent divide-by-zero in dib8000_set_dds() If dib8000_set_dds()'s call to dib8000_read32() returns zero, the result is a divide-by-zero. Prevent that from happening. Fixes the following warning with an UBSAN kernel: drivers/media/dvb-frontends/dib8000.o: warning: objtool: dib8000_tune() falls through to next function dib8096p_cfg_DibRx()
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tracing: Fix oob write in trace_seq_to_buffer() syzbot reported this bug: ================================================================== BUG: KASAN: slab-out-of-bounds in trace_seq_to_buffer kernel/trace/trace.c:1830 [inline] BUG: KASAN: slab-out-of-bounds in tracing_splice_read_pipe+0x6be/0xdd0 kernel/trace/trace.c:6822 Write of size 4507 at addr ffff888032b6b000 by task syz.2.320/7260 CPU: 1 UID: 0 PID: 7260 Comm: syz.2.320 Not tainted 6.15.0-rc1-syzkaller-00301-g3bde70a2c827 #0 PREEMPT(full) Hardware name: Google Google Compute Engine/Google Compute Engine, BIOS Goo
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mtd: inftlcore: Add error check for inftl_read_oob() In INFTL_findwriteunit(), the return value of inftl_read_oob() need to be checked. A proper implementation can be found in INFTL_deleteblock(). The status will be set as SECTOR_IGNORE to break from the while-loop correctly if the inftl_read_oob() fails.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: dw2102: Fix null-ptr-deref in dw2102_i2c_transfer() In dw2102_i2c_transfer, msg is controlled by user. When msg[i].buf is null and msg[i].len is zero, former checks on msg[i].buf would be passed. Malicious data finally reach dw2102_i2c_transfer. If accessing msg[i].buf[0] without sanity check, null ptr deref would happen. We add check on msg[i].len to prevent crash. Similar commit: commit 950e252cb469 ("[media] dw2102: limit messages to buffer size")
Exposure of Sensitive Information in Shared Microarchitectural Structures during Transient Execution for some Intel(R) Processors may allow an authenticated user to potentially enable information disclosure via local access.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: btsdio: fix use after free bug in btsdio_remove due to race condition In btsdio_probe, the data->work is bound with btsdio_work. It will be started in btsdio_send_frame. If the btsdio_remove runs with a unfinished work, there may be a race condition that hdev is freed but used in btsdio_work. Fix it by canceling the work before do cleanup in btsdio_remove.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: x86: Reset IRTE to host control if *new* route isn't postable Restore an IRTE back to host control (remapped or posted MSI mode) if the *new* GSI route prevents posting the IRQ directly to a vCPU, regardless of the GSI routing type. Updating the IRTE if and only if the new GSI is an MSI results in KVM leaving an IRTE posting to a vCPU. The dangling IRTE can result in interrupts being incorrectly delivered to the guest, and in the worst case scenario can result in use-after-free, e.g. if the VM is torn down, but the underlying host IRQ isn't freed.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: s390/sclp: Add check for get_zeroed_page() Add check for the return value of get_zeroed_page() in sclp_console_init() to prevent null pointer dereference. Furthermore, to solve the memory leak caused by the loop allocation, add a free helper to do the free job.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: 9p/net: fix improper handling of bogus negative read/write replies In p9_client_write() and p9_client_read_once(), if the server incorrectly replies with success but a negative write/read count then we would consider written (negative) <= rsize (positive) because both variables were signed. Make variables unsigned to avoid this problem. The reproducer linked below now fails with the following error instead of a null pointer deref: 9pnet: bogus RWRITE count (4294967295 > 3)
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: HID: pidff: Fix null pointer dereference in pidff_find_fields This function triggered a null pointer dereference if used to search for a report that isn't implemented on the device. This happened both for optional and required reports alike. The same logic was applied to pidff_find_special_field and although pidff_init_fields should return an error earlier if one of the required reports is missing, future modifications could change this logic and resurface this possible null pointer dereference again. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs/jfs: Prevent integer overflow in AG size calculation The JFS filesystem calculates allocation group (AG) size using 1 << l2agsize in dbExtendFS(). When l2agsize exceeds 31 (possible with >2TB aggregates on 32-bit systems), this 32-bit shift operation causes undefined behavior and improper AG sizing. On 32-bit architectures: - Left-shifting 1 by 32+ bits results in 0 due to integer overflow - This creates invalid AG sizes (0 or garbage values) in sbi->bmap->db_agsize - Subsequent block allocations would reference invalid AG structures - Could lead to: - Filesystem corr
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: st: Fix array overflow in st_setup() Change the array size to follow parms size instead of a fixed value.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdkfd: debugfs hang_hws skip GPU with MES debugfs hang_hws is used by GPU reset test with HWS, for MES this crash the kernel with NULL pointer access because dqm->packet_mgr is not setup for MES path. Skip GPU with MES for now, MES hang_hws debugfs interface will be supported later.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fbdev: omapfb: Add 'plane' value check Function dispc_ovl_setup is not intended to work with the value OMAP_DSS_WB of the enum parameter plane. The value of this parameter is initialized in dss_init_overlays and in the current state of the code it cannot take this value so it's not a real problem. For the purposes of defensive coding it wouldn't be superfluous to check the parameter value, because some functions down the call stack process this value correctly and some not. For example, in dispc_ovl_setup_global_alpha it may lead to buffer overflow. Add check for this v
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: pm: cpupower: bench: Prevent NULL dereference on malloc failure If malloc returns NULL due to low memory, 'config' pointer can be NULL. Add a check to prevent NULL dereference.
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: jbd2: remove wrong sb->s_sequence check Journal emptiness is not determined by sb->s_sequence == 0 but rather by sb->s_start == 0 (which is set a few lines above). Furthermore 0 is a valid transaction ID so the check can spuriously trigger. Remove the invalid WARN_ON.
