ocfs2: handle a symlink read error correctly

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ocfs2: handle a symlink read error correctly Patch series "Convert ocfs2 to use folios". Mark did a conversion of ocfs2 to use folios and sent it to me as a giant patch for review ;-) So I've redone it as individual patches, and credited Mark for the patches where his code is substantially the same. It's not a bad way to do it; his patch had some bugs and my patches had some bugs. Hopefully all our bugs were different from each other. And hopefully Mark likes all the changes I made to his code! This patch (of 23): If we can't read the buffer, be sure to unlock the p

nilfs2: do not force clear folio if buffer is referenced

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nilfs2: do not force clear folio if buffer is referenced Patch series "nilfs2: protect busy buffer heads from being force-cleared". This series fixes the buffer head state inconsistency issues reported by syzbot that occurs when the filesystem is corrupted and falls back to read-only, and the associated buffer head use-after-free issue. This patch (of 2): Syzbot has reported that after nilfs2 detects filesystem corruption and falls back to read-only, inconsistencies in the buffer state may occur. One of the inconsistencies is that when nilfs2 calls mark_buffer_dirty()

nilfs2: handle errors that nilfs_prepare_chunk() may return

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nilfs2: handle errors that nilfs_prepare_chunk() may return Patch series "nilfs2: fix issues with rename operations". This series fixes BUG_ON check failures reported by syzbot around rename operations, and a minor behavioral issue where the mtime of a child directory changes when it is renamed instead of moved. This patch (of 2): The directory manipulation routines nilfs_set_link() and nilfs_delete_entry() rewrite the directory entry in the folio/page previously read by nilfs_find_entry(), so error handling is omitted on the assumption that nilfs_prepare_chunk(), which

net: davicom: fix UAF in dm9000_drv_remove

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: davicom: fix UAF in dm9000_drv_remove dm is netdev private data and it cannot be used after free_netdev() call. Using dm after free_netdev() can cause UAF bug. Fix it by moving free_netdev() at the end of the function. This is similar to the issue fixed in commit ad297cd2db89 ("net: qcom/emac: fix UAF in emac_remove"). This bug is detected by our static analysis tool.

net/rose: prevent integer overflows in rose_setsockopt()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/rose: prevent integer overflows in rose_setsockopt() In case of possible unpredictably large arguments passed to rose_setsockopt() and multiplied by extra values on top of that, integer overflows may occur. Do the safest minimum and fix these issues by checking the contents of 'opt' and returning -EINVAL if they are too large. Also, switch to unsigned int and remove useless check for negative 'opt' in ROSE_IDLE case.

net: usb: rtl8150: enable basic endpoint checking

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: usb: rtl8150: enable basic endpoint checking Syzkaller reports [1] encountering a common issue of utilizing a wrong usb endpoint type during URB submitting stage. This, in turn, triggers a warning shown below. For now, enable simple endpoint checking (specifically, bulk and interrupt eps, testing control one is not essential) to mitigate the issue with a view to do other related cosmetic changes later, if they are necessary. net_sched: sch_sfq: don't allow 1 packet limit

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net_sched: sch_sfq: don't allow 1 packet limit The current implementation does not work correctly with a limit of 1. iproute2 actually checks for this and this patch adds the check in kernel as well. usb: xhci: Fix NULL pointer dereference on certain command aborts

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: xhci: Fix NULL pointer dereference on certain command aborts If a command is queued to the final usable TRB of a ring segment, the enqueue pointer is advanced to the subsequent link TRB and no further. If the command is later aborted, when the abort completion is handled the dequeue pointer is advanced to the first TRB of the next segment. If no further commands are queued, xhci_handle_stopped_cmd_ring() sees the ring pointers unequal and assumes that there is a pending command, so it calls xhci_mod_cmd_timer() which crashes if cur_cmd was NULL. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: uvcvideo: Fix double free in error path If the uvc_status_init() function fails to allocate the int_urb, it will free the dev->status pointer but doesn't reset the pointer to NULL. This results in the kfree() call in uvc_status_cleanup() trying to double-free the memory. Fix it by resetting the dev->status pointer to NULL after freeing it. It comes from process_responses(). On 32bit systems, the "gl->tot_len + sizeof(struct cpl_pass_accept_req) + sizeof(struct rss_header)" addition could have an integer wrapping bug.
