memory: fsl_ifc: fix leak of IO mapping on probe failure

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: memory: fsl_ifc: fix leak of IO mapping on probe failure On probe error the driver should unmap the IO memory. Smatch reports: drivers/memory/fsl_ifc.c:298 fsl_ifc_ctrl_probe() warn: 'fsl_ifc_ctrl_dev->gregs' not released on lines: 298.

    net: fix uninit-value in caif_seqpkt_sendmsg

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: fix uninit-value in caif_seqpkt_sendmsg When nr_segs equal to zero in iovec_from_user, the object msg->msg_iter.iov is uninit stack memory in caif_seqpkt_sendmsg which is defined in ___sys_sendmsg. So we cann't just judge msg->msg_iter.iov->base directlly. We can use nr_segs to judge msg in caif_seqpkt_sendmsg whether has data buffers. ===================================================== BUG: KMSAN: uninit-value in caif_seqpkt_sendmsg+0x693/0xf60 net/caif/caif_socket.c:542 Call Trace: __dump_stack lib/dump_stack.c:77 [inline] dump_stack+0x1c9/0x220 lib/dump_stack.c

isdn: mISDN: netjet: Fix crash in nj_probe:

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: isdn: mISDN: netjet: Fix crash in nj_probe: 'nj_setup' in netjet.c might fail with -EIO and in this case 'card->irq' is initialized and is bigger than zero. A subsequent call to 'nj_release' will free the irq that has not been requested. Fix this bug by deleting the previous assignment to 'card->irq' and just keep the assignment before 'request_irq'. The KASAN's log reveals it: [ 3.354615 ] WARNING: CPU: 0 PID: 1 at kernel/irq/manage.c:1826 free_irq+0x100/0x480 [ 3.355112 ] Modules linked in: [ 3.355310 ] CPU: 0 PID: 1 Comm: swapper/0 Not tainted 5.13.0-rc1-0014

ALSA: seq: Fix race of snd_seq_timer_open()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: seq: Fix race of snd_seq_timer_open() The timer instance per queue is exclusive, and snd_seq_timer_open() should have managed the concurrent accesses. It looks as if it's checking the already existing timer instance at the beginning, but it's not right, because there is no protection, hence any later concurrent call of snd_seq_timer_open() may override the timer instance easily. This may result in UAF, as the leftover timer instance can keep running while the queue itself gets closed, as spotted by syzkaller recently. For avoiding the race, add a proper check at th

kvm: avoid speculation-based attacks from out-of-range memslot accesses

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: kvm: avoid speculation-based attacks from out-of-range memslot accesses KVM's mechanism for accessing guest memory translates a guest physical address (gpa) to a host virtual address using the right-shifted gpa (also known as gfn) and a struct kvm_memory_slot. The translation is performed in __gfn_to_hva_memslot using the following formula: hva = slot->userspace_addr + (gfn - slot->base_gfn) * PAGE_SIZE It is expected that gfn falls within the boundaries of the guest's physical memory. However, a guest can access invalid physical addresses in such a way that the g

ftrace: Do not blindly read the ip address in ftrace_bug()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ftrace: Do not blindly read the ip address in ftrace_bug() It was reported that a bug on arm64 caused a bad ip address to be used for updating into a nop in ftrace_init(), but the error path (rightfully) returned -EINVAL and not -EFAULT, as the bug caused more than one error to occur. But because -EINVAL was returned, the ftrace_bug() tried to report what was at the location of the ip address, and read it directly. This caused the machine to panic, as the ip was not pointing to a valid memory address. Instead, read the ip address with copy_from_kernel_nofault() to safely a

usb: dwc3: ep0: fix NULL pointer exception

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: dwc3: ep0: fix NULL pointer exception There is no validation of the index from dwc3_wIndex_to_dep() and we might be referring a non-existing ep and trigger a NULL pointer exception. In certain configurations we might use fewer eps and the index might wrongly indicate a larger ep index than existing. By adding this validation from the patch we can actually report a wrong index back to the caller. In our usecase we are using a composite device on an older kernel, but upstream might use this fix also. Unfortunately, I cannot describe the hardware for others to reproduce

usb: fix various gadget panics on 10gbps cabling

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: fix various gadget panics on 10gbps cabling usb_assign_descriptors() is called with 5 parameters, the last 4 of which are the usb_descriptor_header for: full-speed (USB1.1 - 12Mbps [including USB1.0 low-speed @ 1.5Mbps), high-speed (USB2.0 - 480Mbps), super-speed (USB3.0 - 5Gbps), super-speed-plus (USB3.1 - 10Gbps). The differences between full/high/super-speed descriptors are usually substantial (due to changes in the maximum usb block size from 64 to 512 to 1024 bytes and other differences in the specs), while the difference between 5 and 10Gbps descriptors

scsi: core: Fix error handling of scsi_host_alloc()

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: core: Fix error handling of scsi_host_alloc() After device is initialized via device_initialize(), or its name is set via dev_set_name(), the device has to be freed via put_device(). Otherwise device name will be leaked because it is allocated dynamically in dev_set_name(). Fix the leak by replacing kfree() with put_device(). Since scsi_host_dev_release() properly handles IDA and kthread removal, remove special-casing these from the error handling as well.

netfilter: synproxy: Fix out of bounds when parsing TCP options

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: synproxy: Fix out of bounds when parsing TCP options The TCP option parser in synproxy (synproxy_parse_options) could read one byte out of bounds. When the length is 1, the execution flow gets into the loop, reads one byte of the opcode, and if the opcode is neither TCPOPT_EOL nor TCPOPT_NOP, it reads one more byte, which exceeds the length of 1. This fix is inspired by commit 9609dad263f8 ("ipv4: tcp_input: fix stack out of bounds when parsing TCP options."). v2 changes: Added an early return when length < 0 to avoid calling skb_header_pointer with negative l
