In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mtd: inftlcore: Add error check for inftl_read_oob() In INFTL_findwriteunit(), the return value of inftl_read_oob() need to be checked. A proper implementation can be found in INFTL_deleteblock(). The status will be set as SECTOR_IGNORE to break from the while-loop correctly if the inftl_read_oob() fails.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: dw2102: Fix null-ptr-deref in dw2102_i2c_transfer() In dw2102_i2c_transfer, msg is controlled by user. When msg[i].buf is null and msg[i].len is zero, former checks on msg[i].buf would be passed. Malicious data finally reach dw2102_i2c_transfer. If accessing msg[i].buf[0] without sanity check, null ptr deref would happen. We add check on msg[i].len to prevent crash. It will be started in btsdio_send_frame. If the btsdio_remove runs with a unfinished work, there may be a race condition that hdev is freed but used in btsdio_work. Fix it by canceling the work before do cleanup in btsdio_remove.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: x86: Reset IRTE to host control if *new* route isn't postable Restore an IRTE back to host control (remapped or posted MSI mode) if the *new* GSI route prevents posting the IRQ directly to a vCPU, regardless of the GSI routing type. Updating the IRTE if and only if the new GSI is an MSI results in KVM leaving an IRTE posting to a vCPU. The dangling IRTE can result in interrupts being incorrectly delivered to the guest, and in the worst case scenario can result in use-after-free, e.g. if the VM is torn down, but the underlying host IRQ isn't freed.

Make variables unsigned to avoid this problem. The reproducer linked below now fails with the following error instead of a null pointer deref: 9pnet: bogus RWRITE count (4294967295 > 3)

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: HID: pidff: Fix null pointer dereference in pidff_find_fields This function triggered a null pointer dereference if used to search for a report that isn't implemented on the device. This happened both for optional and required reports alike. The same logic was applied to pidff_find_special_field and although pidff_init_fields should return an error earlier if one of the required reports is missing, future modifications could change this logic and resurface this possible null pointer dereference again. When l2agsize exceeds 31 (possible with >2TB aggregates on 32-bit systems), this 32-bit shift operation causes undefined behavior and improper AG sizing. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdkfd: debugfs hang_hws skip GPU with MES debugfs hang_hws is used by GPU reset test with HWS, for MES this crash the kernel with NULL pointer access because dqm->packet_mgr is not setup for MES path. Skip GPU with MES for now, MES hang_hws debugfs interface will be supported later.

The value of this parameter is initialized in dss_init_overlays and in the current state of the code it cannot take this value so it's not a real problem. For the purposes of defensive coding it wouldn't be superfluous to check the parameter value, because some functions down the call stack process this value correctly and some not. This is presumably just a theoretical problem: COMPILE_TEST overrides the dependency on RALINK which would select COMMON_CLK. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: arm64: Tear down vGIC on failed vCPU creation If kvm_arch_vcpu_create() fails to share the vCPU page with the hypervisor, we propagate the error back to the ioctl but leave the vGIC vCPU data initialised. Note only does this leak the corresponding memory when the vCPU is destroyed but it can also lead to use-after-free if the redistributor device handling tries to walk into the vCPU. Add the missing cleanup to kvm_arch_vcpu_create(), ensuring that the vGIC vCPU structures are destroyed on error.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: jbd2: remove wrong sb->s_sequence check Journal emptiness is not determined by sb->s_sequence == 0 but rather by sb->s_start == 0 (which is set a few lines above). Furthermore 0 is a valid transaction ID so the check can spuriously trigger. Remove the invalid WARN_ON.
