    netfilter: nf_conntrack: destroy stale expectfn expectations on unregister

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nf_conntrack: destroy stale expectfn expectations on unregister NAT helpers such as nf_nat_h323 store a raw pointer to module text in exp->expectfn (e.g. ip_nat_q931_expect). nf_ct_helper_expectfn_unregister() only unlinks the callback descriptor and never walks the expectation table, so an expectation pending at module removal survives with a dangling exp->expectfn into freed module text. When the expected connection arrives, init_conntrack() invokes exp->expectfn(), now a stale pointer into the unloaded module. Reproduced on a KASAN build by loading the H.323

    net: bonding: fix NULL pointer dereference in bond_do_ioctl()

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: bonding: fix NULL pointer dereference in bond_do_ioctl() In bond_do_ioctl(), slave_dev is obtained via __dev_get_by_name() which can return NULL if the requested interface name does not exist. However, the subsequent slave_dbg() call is placed before the NULL check: slave_dev = __dev_get_by_name(net, ifr->ifr_slave); slave_dbg(bond_dev, slave_dev, "slave_dev=%p:\n", slave_dev); //here if (!slave_dev) return -ENODEV; The slave_dbg() macro expands to netdev_dbg(bond_dev, "(slave %s): " fmt, (slave_dev)->name, ...) which unconditionally dereferences

    slimbus: qcom-ngd-ctrl: Register callbacks after creating the ngd

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: slimbus: qcom-ngd-ctrl: Register callbacks after creating the ngd When the remoteproc starts in parallel with the NGD driver being probed, or the remoteproc is already up when the PDR lookup is being registered, or in the theoretical event that we get an interrupt from the hardware, these callbacks will operate on uninitialized data. This result in issues to boot the affected boards. One such example can be seen in the following fault, where qcom_slim_ngd_ssr_pdr_notify() schedules work on the NULL ngd_up_work. drm/amd/display: Use krealloc_array() in dal_vector_reserve()

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/display: Use krealloc_array() in dal_vector_reserve() [Why & How] dal_vector_reserve() computes the allocation size as "capacity * vector->struct_size" using uint32_t arithmetic, which can silently wrap to a small value on overflow. This would cause krealloc to return a smaller buffer than expected, leading to heap overflows on subsequent vector appends. Replace krealloc() with krealloc_array() which performs an internal overflow check and returns NULL on wrap, preventing the issue. agp/amd64: Fix broken error propagation in agp_amd64_probe()

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: agp/amd64: Fix broken error propagation in agp_amd64_probe() A NULL pointer dereference was observed in the AMD64 AGP driver when running in a virtualized environment (e.g. qemu/kvm) without a physical AMD northbridge. The crash occurs in amd64_fetch_size() when attempting to dereference the pointer returned by node_to_amd_nb(0). The root cause of this crash is broken error propagation in agp_amd64_probe(): When no AMD northbridges are found, cache_nbs() correctly returns -ENODEV. However, the probe function erroneously checks the return value against exactly -1, rather th

    nilfs2: reject zero bd_oblocknr in nilfs_ioctl_mark_blocks_dirty()

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nilfs2: reject zero bd_oblocknr in nilfs_ioctl_mark_blocks_dirty() nilfs_ioctl_mark_blocks_dirty() uses bd_oblocknr to detect dead blocks by comparing it with the current block number bd_blocknr. If they differ, the block is considered dead and skipped. However, bd_oblocknr should never be 0 since block 0 typically stores the primary superblock and is never a valid GC target block. A corrupted ioctl request with bd_oblocknr set to 0 causes the comparison to incorrectly match when the lookup returns -ENOENT and sets bd_blocknr to 0, bypassing the dead block check and callin

    ocfs2/dlm: fix off-by-one in dlm_match_regions() region comparison

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ocfs2/dlm: fix off-by-one in dlm_match_regions() region comparison The local-vs-remote region comparison loop uses '<=' instead of '<', causing it to read one entry past the valid range of qr_regions. The other loops in the same function correctly use '<'. Fix the loop condition to use '<' for consistency and correctness.

    scsi: sg: Resolve soft lockup issue when opening /dev/sgX

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: sg: Resolve soft lockup issue when opening /dev/sgX The parameter def_reserved_size defines the default buffer size reserved for each Sg_fd and should be restricted to a range between 0 and 1,048,576 (see https://tldp.org/HOWTO/SCSI-Generic-HOWTO/proc.html). Although the function sg_proc_write_dressz enforces this limit, it is possible to bypass it by directly modifying the module parameter as shown below, which then causes a soft lockup: echo -1 > /sys/module/sg/parameters/def_reserved_size exec 4<> /dev/sg0 watchdog: BUG: soft lockup - CPU#5 stuck for 26 seconds!

    f2fs: protect extension_list reading with sb_lock in f2fs_sbi_show()

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: f2fs: protect extension_list reading with sb_lock in f2fs_sbi_show() In f2fs_sbi_show(), the extension_list, extension_count and hot_ext_count are read without holding sbi->sb_lock. If a concurrent sysfs store modifies the extension list via f2fs_update_extension_list(), the show path may read inconsistent count and array contents, potentially leading to out-of-bounds access or displaying stale data. Fix this by holding sb_lock around the entire extension list read and format operation.

    audit: fix incorrect inheritable capability in CAPSET records

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: audit: fix incorrect inheritable capability in CAPSET records __audit_log_capset() records the effective capability set into the inheritable field due to a copy-paste error. Every CAPSET audit record therefore reports cap_pi (process inheritable) with the value of cap_effective instead of cap_inheritable. This silently corrupts audit data used for compliance and forensic analysis: an attacker who modifies inheritable capabilities to prepare for a privilege-escalating exec would have the change masked in the audit trail. The bug has been present since the original introduc

    ipv6: mcast: Fix use-after-free when processing MLD queries

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv6: mcast: Fix use-after-free when processing MLD queries When processing an MLD query, a pointer to the multicast group address is retrieved when initially parsing the packet. This pointer is later dereferenced without being reloaded despite the fact that the skb header might have been reallocated following the pskb_may_pull() calls, leading to a use-after-free [1]. Fix by copying the multicast group address when the packet is initially parsed. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipvs: clear the svc scheduler ptr early on edit ip_vs_edit_service() while unbinding the old scheduler clears the svc->scheduler ptr after the scheduler module initiates RCU callbacks. This can cause packets to use the old scheduler at the time when svc->sched_data is already freed after RCU grace period. Fix it by clearing the ptr early in ip_vs_unbind_scheduler(), before the done_service method schedules any RCU callbacks. netfilter: synproxy: add mutex to guard hook reference counting

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: synproxy: add mutex to guard hook reference counting As the synproxy infrastructure register netfilter hooks on-demand when a user adds the first iptables target or nftables expression, if done concurrently they can race each other. Introduce a mutex to serialize the refcount control blocks access from both frontends. While a per namespace mutex might be more efficient, it is not needed for target/expression like SYNPROXY.
