fastify vulnerable to Denial of Service via unhandled exception on HTTP/2 trailer responses
fastify is a fast and low-overhead web framework for Node.js. In versions before 5.12.5, when a route registers a response trailer via reply.trailer() and is served over HTTP/2, fastify unconditionally sets the Transfer-Encoding: chunked header, which is forbidden on HTTP/2, so Node.js throws while serializing the response headers. The exception is not caught and becomes an uncaughtException, so a single unauthenticated HTTP/2 request to any route that uses trailers crashes the server process and drops all in-flight requests, and it can be repeated on every restart. The issue is fixed in fastify 5.12.5, and users should upgrade to 5.12.5 or l
@zereight/mcp-gitlab's unauthenticated arbitrary file read via `upload_markdown` enables PAT exfiltration and full account takeover
`@zereight/mcp-gitlab` is a Model Context Protocol server for GitLab. Prior to version 2.1.27, the SSE transport mode (`SSE=true`) exposes all MCP tools without any authentication. The `upload_markdown` tool reads arbitrary files from the server's local filesystem via an unsanitized `file_path` parameter and uploads them to a GitLab project. Combined, any unauthenticated network-reachable attacker can read `/proc/self/environ` to steal the server's `GITLAB_PERSONAL_ACCESS_TOKEN` and achieve full GitLab account takeover. This is the default configuration for Docker deployments. Version 2.1.27 contains a patch.
@zereight/mcp-gitlab Vulnerable to Server-Side Request Forgery
`@zereight/mcp-gitlab` is a Model Context Protocol server for GitLab. Starting in version 0.0.1 and prior to version 2.1.27, when the environment variable `ENABLE_DYNAMIC_API_URL=true` is set, the server reads the `X-GitLab-API-URL` HTTP request header and uses it as the base URL for all outbound GitLab API calls made within that request. The server validates that the value is a well-formed URL (`new URL(dynamicApiUrl)`) but applies no allowlist or hostname restriction. The server then attaches the victim's `Private-Token` to every outbound fetch that uses the redirected URL. Any caller who can reach the HTTP transport can set `X-GitLab-API-U
adm-zip 0.5.14 through 0.6.0 Denial of Service via Zero Declared Uncompressed Size
adm-zip versions 0.5.14 through 0.6.0 fail to apply zlib decompression output limits when ZIP entries declare zero uncompressed size. Attackers can craft malicious ZIP archives with highly compressible entries declaring zero size to exhaust memory and cause denial of service.
@zereight/mcp-gitlab: DNS rebinding reaches local Streamable HTTP MCP transport
`@zereight/mcp-gitlab` is a Model Context Protocol server for GitLab. Versions prior to 2.1.30 expose the Streamable HTTP MCP endpoint without an effective Host or Origin allowlist. A malicious web page can use DNS rebinding to route browser requests to a victim's local MCP listener while preserving an attacker-controlled `Host` and `Origin`. The server accepts those headers and reaches the MCP initialization path instead of rejecting the request at the HTTP boundary. Version 2.1.30 contains a patch.
@zereight/mcp-gitlab has multiple safety-control bypasses: execute_graphql read-only + allow-list bypass, unauthenticated transports, session-exhaustion DoS
### Summary
@zereight/mcp-gitlab exposes GitLab to an LLM agent while relying on read-only mode, a project allow-list, and transport auth as its safety controls. Five defects defeat those controls. Under the MCP threat model, tool-call arguments/content can be shaped by untrusted input (prompt injection) or a malicious client.

MCPVault: PathFilter restricted directories (.git/.obsidian/node_modules) only denied at vault root, not nested
MCPVault is a lightweight Model Context Protocol server for safe access to files in an Obsidian vault. Prior to 0.11.5, PathFilter in src/pathfilter.ts uses root-anchored deny-list patterns, so nested .git, .obsidian, and node_modules path segments do not match the restriction and pass both isAllowed() and isAllowedForListing(). An attacker who influences a path selected by an AI agent can traverse nested repository or Obsidian metadata, read remote URLs or embedded tokens, or cause nested node_modules content to pollute the listAllTags index. This issue is fixed in version 0.11.5.
MCPVault: PathFilter restricted-directory deny-list bypass via case and trailing dot/space equivalence
MCPVault is a lightweight Model Context Protocol server for safe access to files in an Obsidian vault. Prior to 0.11.4, PathFilter in src/pathfilter.ts compiles restricted-directory patterns case-sensitively and compares paths without canonicalizing filesystem-equivalent segment names. On case-insensitive macOS and Windows filesystems, case variants of .git, .obsidian, or node_modules pass both isAllowed() and isAllowedForListing() even though the operating system opens the restricted directory, and Windows trailing dots or spaces provide the same bypass. An attacker who influences a path selected by an AI agent can use the bypass in read, wr
mcp-searxng: Unbounded Response Body Read Bypasses URL Size Limit in `web_url_read`
mcp-searxng is a Model Context Protocol server that gives AI assistants web search and URL-reading capabilities through SearXNG. Prior to 1.7.1, web_url_read in src/index.ts passes a caller-supplied URL to readUrlContent() in src/url-reader.ts, where checkContentLength() treats a missing Content-Length header as an inconclusive preflight and the normal and error paths then consume the complete body with response.text(). A server that omits Content-Length can therefore bypass URL_READ_MAX_CONTENT_LENGTH_BYTES and force unbounded memory use. The resulting string is also processed by NodeHtmlMarkdown.translate(), increasing CPU consumption and a
mcp-searxng: DNS-resolved Private Hostname SSRF in `web_url_read`
mcp-searxng is a Model Context Protocol server that gives AI assistants web search and URL-reading capabilities through SearXNG. Prior to 1.7.1, web_url_read receives its caller-controlled URL through src/index.ts and validates only the literal hostname in assertUrlAllowed() within src/url-reader.ts before undiciFetch() performs operating-system DNS resolution. A public-looking attacker-controlled hostname that resolves to a private, loopback, link-local, or cloud-metadata address therefore passes the lexical check and causes the MCP server to connect to the internal destination. In the default HTTP configuration, an unauthenticated network c
mcp-searxng: SSRF in web_url_read: the internal-address guard is disabled by default (MCP_HTTP_HARDEN off)
mcp-searxng is a Model Context Protocol server that gives AI assistants web search and URL-reading capabilities through SearXNG. Prior to 1.2.0, web_url_read passes a caller-supplied URL to the server-side fetch path while assertUrlAllowed() in src/url-reader.ts runs only when MCP_HTTP_HARDEN is enabled, even though MCP_HTTP_HARDEN is disabled by default in src/http-security.ts. In the default configuration, an attacker who influences the URL selected by a user or AI agent can make the server fetch loopback, private-network, or cloud metadata endpoint resources and return their contents into the model context. file:// URLs remain rejected, an

Prior to 1.2.0, the web_url_read URL policy in src/url-reader.ts can be bypassed while MCP_HTTP_HARDEN is enabled and MCP_HTTP_ALLOW_PRIVATE_URLS is not enabled because redirect targets are not revalidated, 0.0.0.0 is not classified as an internal address, and IPv4-mapped IPv6 literals canonicalized to hexadecimal form are not recognized. These inputs allow an attacker-influenced tool call to make the MCP server fetch loopback or internal HTTP resources and return content from local services, private APIs, service-m
Lokka is a Model Context Protocol server for Microsoft 365, including Microsoft Graph and other services. Prior to 2.1.2, the Lokka-Microsoft tool in src/mcp/src/main.ts uses direct URL string concatenation to append the user-controlled path value to the management.azure.com base URL. A specially crafted path can alter URL authority parsing and cause an Azure Resource Manager bearer token to be sent to an unintended host. This issue is fixed in version 2.1.2.
Yeger: Unauthenticated Network-Exposed Turborepo Task Execution via /api/run
Yeger is a monorepo for npm packages maintained under the yeger scope. Prior to 2.8.9, the turbo-graph package starts its embedded Next.js server from packages/turbo-graph/src/index.ts on all interfaces, including 0.0.0.0:29312 by default, while the GET handler for /api/run in packages/turbo-graph-ui/app/api/run/route.ts has no authentication, authorization, CSRF protection, or task allowlist. The handler accepts the tasks, filter, and force query parameters, and buildResponseFromArgs passes attacker-selected task names to spawn() as Turbo CLI arguments. An adjacent-network attacker can execute any task defined in the victim repository's turb
MCP Memory Keeper: Arbitrary local file read in mcp-memory-keeper context_import via unvalidated filePath
MCP Memory Keeper is an MCP server for persistent context management in AI coding assistants. Prior to 0.13.0, context_import in src/index.ts passes the caller-controlled filePath directly to fs.readFileSync without restricting the path to an export directory. An MCP client, including an LLM agent induced to call the tool, can use ../ traversal or an absolute path to target any file readable by the server process. A valid JSON file is parsed and imported into the caller's session, allowing its full contents to be retrieved through context_get or context_export, while JSON.parse errors for non-JSON files can return leading file bytes in a Synt

Payload Plugins is a collection of plugins designed to enhance Payload CMS. From 0.3.0 until 0.4.0, @jhb.software/payload-cloudinary-plugin deployments with clientUploads enabled expose POST /api/cloudinary-generate-signature, whose handler in cloudinary/src/getGenerateSignature.ts passes attacker-controlled body.paramsToSign directly to cloudinary.utils.api_sign_request without a key allowlist, collection policy, timestamp freshness check, or configured-folder enforcement. Any authenticated Payload user can obtain a valid Cloudinary HMAC-SHA1 signature for unauthorized parameters such as overwrite, type, notification_url, invalidate, folder,

Payload Plugins is a collection of plugins designed to enhance Payload CMS. In 0.7.0, @jhb.software/payload-alt-text-plugin exposes POST /api/alt-text-plugin/generate and POST /api/alt-text-plugin/bulk with a default guard that accepts any authenticated user, while alt-text/src/endpoints/generateAltText.ts and alt-text/src/endpoints/bulkGenerateAltTexts.ts call req.payload.findByID and req.payload.update without overrideAccess: false. Payload therefore defaults overrideAccess to true and skips the target collection's read and update access functions. An authenticated low-privilege user can supply id, collection, locale, and update values to r
Signal K Server: Server-Side Request Forgery via Remote Connection Endpoints
Signal K Server is a server application that runs on a central hub in a boat. Prior to 2.28.0, makeRemoteRequest() in src/serverroutes.ts accepted attacker-controlled host, port, useTLS, and selfsignedcert parameters from the testSignalKConnection, requestAccess, and checkAccessRequest endpoints without validating the destination. When security was not configured, addAdminMiddleware() was a no-op in dummysecurity.ts, leaving all three endpoints accessible without authentication. The server could be forced to contact loopback, private, link-local, cloud metadata, or arbitrary external destinations, and selfsignedcert could disable certificate
mcp-from-openapi: Bypass of OpenAPI external $ref SSRF fix in latest FrontMCP and mcp-from-openapi
FrontMCP is a TypeScript-first framework for the Model Context Protocol (MCP). From mcp-from-openapi 2.3.0 until 2.5.0 and from frontmcp and @frontmcp/adapters 1.2.1 until 1.5.0, libs/adapters/src/openapi/openapi.adapter.ts loadOpenAPISpec() forwards untrusted OpenAPI url and spec inputs and loadOptions.refResolution to OpenAPIToolGenerator.fromURL() and OpenAPIToolGenerator.fromJSON(). The external $ref guard checks parsed hostname strings without resolving addresses, pinning validated addresses, revalidating redirect targets, or normalizing IPv4-mapped IPv6. GeoLens: Cross-dataset authorization bypass discloses private dataset metadata, schema, sample values, table rows, and raster/vector tile data
GeoLens is a self-hosted geospatial data catalog with semantic search, OGC and STAC APIs, and a map builder. Prior to 1.2.3, multiple read and link endpoints authorize only the resource named in the request URL and fail to re-authorize a second caller-influenced dataset reached through a relationship, map layer, VRT source, externalId lookup, or request body. When a public map references a private dataset, anonymous callers can use GET /maps/{id} and GET /maps/{id}/style.json to obtain the private layer's metadata, sampled values, or vector tiles. The style response can expose a replayable HMAC tile URL that is bound to neither a user nor a m
