PocketSphinx: Buffer overflows in language and acoustic model loading code
PocketSphinx is a small speech recognizer. Prior to 5.1.1, the trie language-model loaders in src/lm/ngram_model_trie.c do not adequately validate boundary conditions in ARPA, DMP, and binary format headers, and the acoustic-model loaders in src/mdef.c and src/util/bio.c use sscanf with unbounded string fields. Loading an invalid, corrupted, or malicious language or acoustic model can therefore cause stack or heap buffer overflows and memory corruption. An attacker who can write to a directory selected by POCKETSPHINX_PATH can replace or add a model file that PocketSphinx later loads; users of PocketSphinx 5prealpha have no backported patch a
UEFI Firmware Parser: Heap out-of-bounds write in tiano decompressor `ReadCLen`
UEFI Firmware Parser parses BIOS, Intel ME, and UEFI firmware structures including volumes, file systems, and files. Prior to 1.14, ReadCLen() in uefi_firmware/compression/Tiano/Decompress.c reads Number from GetBits(Sd, CBIT) with CBIT = 9 and can obtain 511 entries for the 510-element Sd->mCLen heap array because its loop does not enforce Index < NC. The CharC == 2 run-length path can additionally request up to 531 zero writes through Sd->mCLen[Index++] = 0. The normal CompressedSection.process() to efi_compressor.TianoDecompress() to TianoDecompress() to DecodeC() to ReadCLen() parsing path therefore permits crafted Tiano or EFI compressed
UEFI Firmware Parser: Stack out-of-bounds write in tiano decompressor MakeTable
UEFI Firmware Parser parses BIOS, Intel ME, and UEFI firmware structures including volumes, file systems, and files. Prior to 1.14, MakeTable() in uefi_firmware/compression/Tiano/Decompress.c does not validate that bit-length values read from a crafted Tiano or EFI compressed firmware bitstream remain within the expected range from 0 through 16. The normal CompressedSection.process() to efi_compressor.TianoDecompress() to TianoDecompress() to ReadPTLen() to MakeTable() parsing path can consequently write beyond the stack-allocated Count[17] array and related decode tables. The resulting stack corruption deterministically crashes the parsing p
ASTEVAL: Sandbox Escape via BaseException Subclasses
ASTEVAL is an evaluator of Python expressions and statements. Prior to 1.0.9, FROM_PY in asteval/astutils.py exposes BaseException, SystemExit, KeyboardInterrupt, and GeneratorExit to expressions evaluated by asteval.Interpreter.eval(), while run() and eval() in asteval/asteval.py catch Exception rather than these non-Exception BaseException subclasses. When an attacker-controlled expression raises one of these classes, on_raise() passes the class to raise_exception(), and the resulting exception bypasses the interpreter's safety handlers and propagates into the calling application. A consuming service that evaluates untrusted expressions can
garminconnect: Insecure Permission Assignment for Garmin OAuth Token Store
garminconnect is a Python 3 API wrapper for Garmin Connect that retrieves statistics and manages activities. Prior to 0.3.5, garminconnect/client.py Client.dump creates the OAuth token directory and garmin_tokens.json without explicit owner-only modes, so a permissive umask such as 022 can leave the directory mode at 0755 and the token file mode at 0644. garmin_tokens.json contains di_refresh_token, and another unprivileged user on a shared Linux or macOS host can read the token and obtain persistent access to the victim's Garmin Connect account, including health, fitness, activity, and device data. The Garmin.login tokenstore path is affecte
resdata is software for reading and writing result files from the Eclipse reservoir simulator. Prior to 6.2.9, resdata insufficiently validates numeric fields, grid dimensions, keyword sizes, and array indexes while parsing untrusted GRDECL files in lib/resdata/rd_kw_grdecl.cpp and lib/resdata/rd_grid.cpp. Malformed COORD, ZCORN, CORSNUM, ACTNUM, or MAPAXES data can reach rd_grid_alloc_GRDECL_kw__ with inconsistent lengths, while unbounded floating-point conversion can exceed the intended parser buffer. In a network service that accepts untrusted GRDECL files, these conditions can cause a classic buffer overflow, out-of-bounds reads, invalid
MCP Atlassian is a Model Context Protocol (MCP): DNS-rebinding TOCTOU bypass of the SSRF fix (CVE-2026-27826): unauthenticated SSRF to cloud metadata
MCP Atlassian is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for Atlassian products (Confluence and Jira). From 0.17.0 until 0.22.0, validate_url_for_ssrf resolves the attacker-controlled X-Atlassian-Jira-Url and X-Atlassian-Confluence-Url header host once at middleware time, but the outbound request is built with the raw hostname and resolves it again at connection time with no IP pinning. An attacker-controlled DNS-rebinding name can return a public IP during validation and 169.254.169.254 or another internal IP during connection, enabling unauthenticated server-side requests to cloud metadata or internal services. The flaw spans src/mcp_atlassia
MCP Atlassian: Arbitrary server-side file read via attachment upload
MCP Atlassian is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for Atlassian products (Confluence and Jira). Prior to 0.22.0, the confluence_upload_attachment and confluence_upload_attachments tools pass a client-controlled file_path through src/mcp_atlassian/confluence/attachments.py upload_attachment, and the jira_update_issue attachments parameter reaches src/mcp_atlassian/jira/attachments.py upload_attachment, without confining either path to an approved server workspace. In a remote HTTP, SSE, or multi-user deployment, absolute or traversing paths are resolved on the MCP server and uploaded to Atlassian, allowing a client with write-tool access
tarfile extraction filters allow file modification and content disclosure via hard link to symlink
In CPython 3.13 and earlier, the tarfile module's data and tar extraction filters are vulnerable to crafted archives containing a hard link to a symbolic link. Such archives may cause extraction to modify the permissions or modification time of a file outside the destination directory, or expose the contents of that file within the extracted tree.
ESPHome Device Builder: Renamed auth env vars silently disable dashboard authentication on upgrade
ESPHome Device Builder Dashboard is a dashboard for the ESPHome home management software. Prior to version 1.0.12, the dashboard reads its authentication credentials from `$ESPHOME_USERNAME` and `$ESPHOME_PASSWORD`. Earlier versions, and the legacy `esphome` dashboard, read the bare `$USERNAME` and `$PASSWORD` instead. When the env vars were renamed the bare names were dropped with no fallback, so an operator who had protected their dashboard with `USERNAME` / `PASSWORD` (as the older getting started guide documented) loses authentication on upgrade and the dashboard starts open to anyone who can reach its port. The issue is fixed in 1.0.12.
devpi is a Python package index staging server and packaging, testing, and release tool. Prior to 6.20.2 and 7.0.0b3, a server configured with the primary or deprecated master role allows an unauthenticated, modified GET request to the +changelog route because verify_primary does not reject a missing identity and therefore fails to require ReplicaIdentity. The response can disclose complete database content, including Argon2 password hashes and identifiers and salts for devpi-tokens; exposed hashes may be subject to dictionary attacks, and public tokens may assist attempts to derive the server secret. Large responses can also consume signific
Flask-Reuploaded: Extension-denylist bypass via case-folding asymmetry in name-override path (incomplete-fix variant of CVE-2026-27641)
Flask-Reuploaded provides file uploads for Flask. From 1.5.0 until 1.6.0, UploadSet.save(storage, name=...) in src/flask_uploads/flask_uploads.py applies lowercase_ext to the default upload path but uses the case-preserving extension helper for a caller-supplied name before extension_allowed evaluates an AllExcept denylist. An attacker who controls the name override can use a mixed-case dangerous extension to bypass a lowercase denylist and store the file in the served upload directory. Exploitation requires a denylist configuration, a user-influenced name override, and a deployment that resolves or executes extensions case-insensitively; pur
LangChain MongoDB: NoSQL Operator Injection in MongoDBSaver.list() leading to cross-tenant data exposure
LangChain MongoDB provides integrations between MongoDB, Atlas, LangChain, and LangGraph. Prior to langgraph-checkpoint-mongodb 0.3.0 and langgraph-store-mongodb 0.4.0, MongoDBSaver.list(), MongoDBSaver.alist(), and MongoDBStore.search() incorporate filter dictionaries into MongoDB queries without recursively rejecting keys prefixed with $. An authenticated caller who controls a filter argument through HTTP query parameters, request body fields, or agent tool arguments can inject MongoDB Query Language operators such as $regex or $where. In a multi-tenant deployment that uses the filter to enforce per-user or per-tenant isolation, injected op
dbt-mcp is a Model Context Protocol server for interacting with dbt. Prior to 1.20.0, the local OAuth helper in src/dbt_mcp/oauth/fastapi_app.py exposes GET /dbt_platform_context without authentication or Host validation after a user completes the dbt Platform OAuth flow. The endpoint returns the full DbtPlatformContext, including access_token and refresh_token values persisted by the context manager, to any process that can reach 127.0.0.1:6785. The absence of TrustedHostMiddleware allows a remote attacker to use DNS rebinding against a victim's browser because the helper accepts arbitrary Host headers, while a co-located process can request
WeasyPrint restrictive URL fetcher bypass allows local file read and SSRF
WeasyPrint helps web developers to create PDF documents. Prior to 70.0, server-side applications that configure a restrictive url_fetcher and pass attacker-influenced values to HTML.write_pdf() can have the restriction bypassed through the xmp_metadata or stylesheets options. In weasyprint/pdf/init.py, xmp_metadata calls select_source() without the document url_fetcher, allowing an accessible local file to be read and embedded verbatim in the output PDF. In weasyprint/document.py, stylesheets constructs CSS() without the document url_fetcher, allowing local or internal resource loading and propagating the permissive fetcher through nested CSS
ContextForge: DNS TOCTOU race condition causes SSRF protection bypass (`/admin/gateways/test`)
ContextForge is an AI gateway, registry, and proxy that provides centralized discovery, guardrails, and management for MCP, A2A, and REST or gRPC APIs. Prior to 1.0.3, the /admin/gateways/test call site in mcpgateway/admin.py calls validate_gateway_test_url() in mcpgateway/common/validators.py to resolve and reject private, loopback, link-local, and cloud-metadata addresses, but ResilientHttpClient later resolves the original hostname again without binding the validated address. When MCPGATEWAY_ADMIN_API_ENABLED is enabled, an attacker with a database-backed role containing explicit gateways.read permission can use DNS rebinding to return a p
langgraph-api: Relative webhook targets in LangGraph Server can reach in-process routes without authentication
langgraph-api implements the LangGraph API for rapid development and testing. Prior to 0.10.0, langgraph-api permits a run or cron to specify a relative webhook target that is delivered through an in-process loopback transport, and the authentication middleware treats that transport as internal without applying the authentication context used for external requests. In deployments that rely on per-user authorization to separate threads and runs, an authenticated user can direct a webhook to the server's own thread and run routes, allowing creation of a run on or modification of another user's thread and limited incorporation of the targeted th
langgraph-api: Incomplete assistant authorization in LangGraph Server run creation
langgraph-api implements the LangGraph API for rapid development and testing. Prior to 0.10.0, the langgraph-api run-creation path authorizes the assistant attached to a run by dispatching assistants.search with an incomplete value instead of the assistants.read event used by direct reads and cron creation. In deployments with custom resource handlers that register only assistants.read, omit an assistants.search handler, and have no global fallback handler, no applicable handler supplies an owner filter, allowing a low-privileged user to reference another user's private assistant through POST /runs or POST /threads/{thread_id}/runs. The run-c
SQLAdmin: Unvalidated sortBy parameter in `ModelView` bypasses `column_sortable_list`
SQLAdmin is a flexible Admin interface for SQLAlchemy models. Prior to 0.27.1, ModelView.sort_query in sqladmin/models.py accepts the attacker-controlled sortBy list-view query parameter without enforcing the configured column_sortable_list server-side allow-list in self._sort_fields. The value is resolved with getattr and passed to relationship joins and order_by, allowing requests to sort by columns hidden from column_list and by related-model columns through dotted paths. The resulting row order forms an information-exposure oracle for unexposed values, and reversing ascending and descending order confirms their relative ordering. Pairing
PraisonAI: Arbitrary File Read/Write via `multiedit` Tool Without Path Validation
PraisonAI is a multi-agent teams system. Prior to 4.6.62, src/praisonai/praisonai/tools/multiedit.py passes the LLM-controlled filepath parameter directly to open for reading and writing without traversal rejection, symlink resolution, a workspace boundary, or protected-path checks. Prompt-influenced agents can read files through edit and diff behavior or overwrite files accessible to the process, exposing secrets and enabling persistence or application tampering. This issue is fixed in 4.6.62.
